Daily Dose of Toxins Book
It has long been known that external contaminations can upset our physical systems and create all manner of problems. Some of the more obvious and extreme forms of toxicity are easy to identify, like swallowing known poisons. (Not only are many bottles and jars explicitly labeled as poisonous, folklore educates us about the fatal effects of such naturally-occurring poisons such as hemlock, yew berries, and various mushrooms).
But many toxins are less obvious and have much more subtle effects on our bodies. Along with man-made toxins, this category includes the unknown potential impact that various foods and allergens have on the human immune system. We’re seeing the fallout of the increasing level toxicity in our everyday lives in the mounting incidence of immune system disorders, allergies, birth defects and genetic mutation.
We Are In A World of Chemical Soup
We may ingest something and feel sick afterwards, and we may not know why. Ingredients on a package limit your knowledge as to what chemicals are in the carton, the wrapping or the food inside.
This book is intended to aid in determining some basic chemicals and what impact they may have on our bodies. A great reference book that will awaken you to the toxicity on our planet and provide you with an awareness to yourself and those around you.

LIVING IN A TOXIC WORLD (Book Excerpt)
In terms of impact on the human body, there is a significant difference between natural contaminants and artificial, man-made contaminants. The challenge of synthetic chemicals is that–unlike foods or other naturally produced substances–the human body doesn’t recognize them as legitimate substances. The body simply doesn’t know how to deal with certain chemical structures, so it will react to them the way a computer reacts to computer viruses. Once introduced into an electronic system, a computer virus will have three possible effects: the computer will crash, it will run a program it doesn’t want to, or it will use up system resources to get around the virus. The only way a viral scan program can work is to either isolate or destroy the virus, and the first step to doing that is to recognize what is part of the legitimate system and what is not.
In the same way, a toxin acts as an irritant, and the immune system can only respond by attempting to isolate and/or destroy the toxin. Once this happens, the immune system has a ‘file’ on that toxin and will automatically attack it once the presence of the particular toxin is detected; this usually results in allergies and/or detectable antibodies. Sometimes the immune system is too weak to prevail against the toxin, and the body succumbs to illness or even death. In other circumstances, a given immune system may be stronger than the contaminant, yet still use up much of the body’s vitality in combating or avoiding the effects of a poison. In many cases, the immune system is compromised, even if no overt symptoms are detected. It doesn’t take many such contaminations to have a lasting effect on the body’s overall health and vitality.

An Undiagnosed World
“There’s no question—lately, many undiagnosed, puzzling illnesses are appearing in unsuspecting patients worldwide. The fact is that there are hardly any human diseases or conditions in which chemical or environmental sensitivities are not involved, either directly or indirectly. Potentially, you can be sensitive to anything you come into contact with. If you begin to check people around you –even so-called healthy people – you will find hidden chemical and environment sensitivities as a causative factor in almost all health problems.”

Reviews of Daily Dose of Toxins
“Marilyn Chernoff’s book Daily Dose of Toxins is a much-needed addition to everyone’s bookshelf. We are exposed to a multitude of toxins that adversely affect our immune systems. Dr. Chernoff describes the various toxins and how we can avoid them. Chronic illnesses–including cancer, heart disease and autoimmune disorders–are occurring at epidemic rates. My clinical experience has shown, beyond a doubt, that exposure to toxic items play a large part in etiology of these illnesses. Dr. Chernoff gives a specific treatment plan (NAET) which helps one’s body overcome these toxic items. I believe Dr. Chernoff’s treatment plan is ahead of its time. This book is a must-read for all interested in improving their health. I highly recommend this book to not only those suffering from chronic illness, but also to practitioners treating chronic illness.”

“Everyone has to be concerned about the welfare of their children as well as for their own. This succinct, common-sense book accurately describes many aspects related to chemical exposures that most people are not aware of. Too many people have no idea what types of symptoms can be caused by chemicals, and many health professionals have not been exposed to this type of illness in their continuing medical education programs. This combination is exceedingly bad because the illness is simply not recognized for what it is. Others have heard about chemical sensitivities but continue to keep their heads in the sand because they don’t believe or want to think about what is happening. Better to adopt an empowering approach to handle the challenging situation of harmful effects from toxins! We must all begin to learn how, what, when, where and why so many poisons are confronting and hurting us. The Tables in the latter half of Dr. Chernoff’s book are essential to help identify specific chemicals and associated symptoms. The therapies suggested in this book reflect beyond the usual approaches, some definitely being ‘cutting edge.’ Vibrational energy healing is a reality, which should–with more research–provide more definitive answers. Once this happens, this treatment should become more accepted and applied in more practical ways to help many.”
